“I didn't get over it.

I grew back—not by bypassing the pain,

but by learning to tell the truth about it.”

Dinky Diana Smith understands grief from the inside out—not from a textbook, but from living through it.

On her birthday in 2011, her daughter Lilly was killed by a drunk driver. What followed was not a brief season of grief, but years spent in what Dinky calls the Void—a place where silence, fear, and heartbreak change everything you thought you knew about yourself and the world.

She didn't simply survive that experience. She slowly discovered a different way forward by learning to understand what grief was doing to her instead of fighting it. That journey became the foundation of her life's work.

Today, Dinky helps people navigate life's hardest seasons by putting words to experiences that often feel impossible to explain. Her message is simple but transformative:

When we understand what happened to us, we can begin to live forward.

Her books, courses, and presentations blend honest storytelling with practical insight, helping people find clarity, resilience, and hope without minimizing the realities of pain.

Dinky is the author of the Still Here series, the creator of the Human Being Road Ready framework, and the author of the epic fantasy series Veridien, a story born from the same questions about darkness, hope, courage, and healing that shaped her own life.

Whether speaking to audiences, writing books, or creating resources for people around the world, Dinky's goal remains the same:

To help people understand where they are, discover why they feel the way they do, and find the confidence to keep moving forward.

The Heart of My Work

Because lasting change doesn't begin with simply thinking differently.

It begins with understanding ourselves more honestly, extending grace where shame once lived, and choosing hope one step at a time.

Everyone talks about mindset.

I believe real transformation begins with a heartset.

Thank you for being here!
